The Cardiovascular Engineering Laboratory is dedicated to understanding cardiovascular system fundamentals and developing new tools for diagnosis and therapy in cardiovascular disease. Current research projects are on cardiovascular mechanics, computer modeling, biosensors and instrumentation, controlled drug delivery, cardiac and intravascular ultrasound, vascular graft and stent, and hemodynamics of hypertension, myocardial ischemia and stroke.
