The emphasis of our group is on the application of modern methods of theoretical and computational mechanics to problems in molecular biology and biophysical chemistry. Our most recent topics include: the topology and micromechanics of DNA and DNA-protein interactions. This work has implications for the development of micro-mechano-chemical devices and pharmaceuticals that influence gene expression.
