The Cardiovascular Engineering, Biomedical and Drug Delivery Devices Lab emphasizes on both fundamental and translational research. Current research projects are on cardiac and vascular mechanics, therapeutic modeling, noninvasive, wearable and wireless biomedical sensors, bioelectronics, controlled drug delivery, ultrasound, myocardial, cerebral and spinal cord ischemia, as well as hemodynamics of hypertension, aging and stroke. (Our lab has graduated more than 70 Ph.D. and M.S. students and projects have been supported by NIH, NSF, DOD, AHA, NJCST, NJCSCR and corporate grants. U.S. patents on controlled drug delivery systems and cardiac assist devices).
