In our laboratory we study visual motor control. Recently, we developed a theory of refractive error development, which predicts the effect of a change in visual optics on neurochemical transmission and scleral tissue growth. We are also exploring basic aspects of one’s inability to converge the eyes, which have important implications for remediation of this deficit. Finally, we are studying the coordinated relationship between eye and head motion during the putting stroke of the expert golfer.
