BME PhD student Brittany Taylor received a travel award from The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) to attend the FASEB NIH Grant Writing Seminar and RCR Workshop held in Bethesda, MD. This is a nationally acclaimed seminar that teaches Ph.D. students, postdoctoral fellows and early-career scientists who aspire to tenure track how to write a successful grant application. She also received a travel award from the FASEB/ Maximizing Access to Research Careers (MARC) program to attend the 2015 Biomedical Engineering Society Annual Meeting. The FASEB MARC Program provides funding for Meeting Registration Only awards and Poster/Platform (Oral) Presenters travel awards to support the participation of eligible applicants at selected scientific meetings and conferences. The award covers all expenses associated with the BMES meeting. Brittany is advised by Professor Joseph Freeman in BME.
