BME Graduate Students to Participate in Women in Computing Research Program

LCIB and BME PhD students, Pallavi Tiwari and Shannon Agner, have been selected to participate in the CRA-W 2010 Grad Cohort for Women in Computing Research on April 23-24, 2010 in Bellevue, WA. The purpose of the CRA-W's Grad Cohort Program is to increase the ranks of senior women in computing by building and mentoring nationwide communities of women during their graduate studies. Funds for Pallavi`s and Shannon`s participation are being provided by Microsoft Inc., Google Inc., and Dr. Kathryn Uhrich, Dean of Math and Physical Sciences, Rutgers University. Pallavi and Shannon are both advised by Professor Anant Madabhushi.
