BME and LCIB Graduate Students Shannon Agner and Rachel Sparks have been awarded a $500 stipend from the BMEIdea competition to develop their project on a computerized decision support system for detecting breast cancer on MRI. They will now develop and finalize their product that will be judged on technical and economic feasibility, clinical utility, market potential, novelty, and potential for commercialization. This project is supervised by Dr. Anant Madabhushi. Incidentally, this is the 4th time in 5 years that LCIB students have been shortlisted for this prestigious competition.
