BME PhD candidate Antoinette Nelson was awarded a 2017 NSF East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes (EAPSI) Fellowship. Antoinette will spend the summer in China conducting a portion of her thesis work involving the development of a nano-based colorectal pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV. She will be hosted by Dr. Lee Jia at Fuzhou University and Dr. Xing-Jie Liang at the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology of China. She is currently advised by Professor Patrick J. Sinko.
