George Lee, a 4th year BME/LCIB PhD student has been awarded a $64K, 2 year pre-doctoral training grant from the Department of Defense for his project entitled "Comparing Proteomic, Histological Biomarkers for Biochemical Failure Among African Americans and Caucasians Following Radical Prostatectomy". George will be working on this project under the mentorship of Professor Anant Madabhushi and will be supported by clinical co-mentors (Dr. Michael Feldman, Dr. Steve Master, and Dr. John Tomaszewski) from the University of Pennsylvania and Buffalo. George is the 6th student from LCIB to be awarded a DOD pre-doctoral training award in the last 3 years.
