BME undergraduate student James Hughes has been awarded a Wells H. Keddie Scholarship by the Rutgers Council of AAUP Chapters. Professor Thomas Papathomasnominated James for his involvement as President of the Rutgers student chapter of "Engineers Without Borders", who volunteer their time and energy for enhancing the lives of people in developing countries, mainly by improving the local water supply. James received a monetary award and a plaque for this scholarship.
