Dr. Madabhushi (PI) and his collaborators at the University of Pennsylvania (Michael Feldman, PI) and Siemens Corporate Research (GianLuca Paladini, PI, Lance Ladic, Co-PI) have been awarded a 5 year, $3.375 million NIH R01 grant from the National Cancer Institute. This 5 year, multi-PI, multi-institutional grant will be funded for the first 2 years by money from the ARRA and for the final 3 years by the NCI. The project entitled "Software to facilitate multi-mode, multi-scale fused data for Pathology and Radiology"e; will focus on developing a software informatics platform that integrates image analysis, image registration, and computer vision tools for facilitating automated diagnosis of prostate cancer from multi-parametric MRI and histopathology.
