Professor Adam Gormley has been notified of receiving two federal awards.
The first is a 5-year $2M NIH R-35 Maximizing Investigators’ Research Award (MIRA) from to study synthetic ligand multivalency. Professor Gormley plans to use robotics plus machine learning to precisely program nano-bio interfaces using multivalent polymers.

The second is a $50K NSF award from the National I-Corps program. The National I-Corps is a great way to plan a startup company in which Professor Gormley and his team are planning for their polymer automation techniques. With this award, their team will undertake a comprehensive customer discovery process to build out a business model for a successful startup named "Plexymer."
