Professors Francois Berthiaume, Rene Schloss, Noshir Langrana, Martin Yarmush, Janet Alder, and Smita Varia received a grant from the New Jersey Commission on Brain Injury Research (NJCBIR). The project aims to dampen the inflammation in the brain after traumatic brain injury, with a focus on the role of high-mobility group box 1 protein (HMGB1). The award is for $540,000 over 3 years.
