Professors David Shreiber (BME) and Mina Pelegri (MAE) were awarded a 2-year, $200,000 grant from the New Jersey Commission on Spinal Cord Research for their project, entitled Multi-Scale Modeling of Dynamic Behavior of White Matter. The primary aim of the project is to characterize and model how dynamic loads affect the behavior of individual axons within white matter as well as the behavior at the tissue level.
