Martin Yarmush, professor II in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at the School of Engineering and the Center for Innovative Ventures of Emerging Technologies (CIVET), Rutgers New Brunswick, is the principal investigator of an award totaling $216,000. The project titled "Merging Innovation, Translational Medicine, and Entrepreneurship in Biomedical Engineering Senior Design" is being supported by the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering. It will be run through the collaborative efforts of BME, CIVET, the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine, and the Rutgers Business School. The award will support undergraduate students and supplies for their translational Senior Design projects.
